Consulting Engineer  

The Consulting Engineer position within Managed Services is a PC and LAN administration and support position. This position is empowered to deliver both a responsive and enjoyable experience to our customers, while providing Remote LAN Management services. This includes improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our customers by proactively administering and supporting their PC and networking needs. This is achieved by demonstrating a “can-do” approach where the customer feels our utmost commitment towards fulfilling their technical and business requirements. This position must practice commitment towards taking a team approach as well as responsibility for contributing to the overall team success.

Requirements include:
Education & Related Experience

- BS degree in CIS or related field or equivalent related work experience
- 3+ years of related workstation and server experience in a LAN/WAN environment
- Proven experience with network monitoring and remote network management tools
- 3+ years of experience working in a proactive LAN/WAN Administration role
- Strong understanding of the following NOS – Windows NT/2000/NetWare 6.x
- Strong understanding of the following DOS – NT Workstation/Windows2000/Windows XP
- Knowledge of Citrix Metaframe XP – CCA is preferred
- Support knowledge of MS Office 2000/XP, MS Outlook, antivirus software, network back-up software
- Proven understanding of how technology supports business solutions
- Must be able to travel by vehicle to various client locations and maintain a flexible work schedule
- Valid state driver’s license and good driving record
- MCSE or CNE certification is highly desired
